Zanzibar Magic Yoga
Relax and unwind with complimentary yoga classes during your stay. Whether you’re just starting your practice or a longer term practitioner, our classes are playful, exploratory and inclusive. We incorporate all components of yoga to our classes and bring in different modalities to offer you a special and unique experience whilst helping to bring balance to the body and mind. Classes are offered three times a week and suitable for all ages and levels.

Styles of Yoga
We offer various styles of yoga depending on the time of day, and catering students preference. Types of yoga include:
Vinyasa Yoga: A more dynamic and strengthening style in which students flow from one shape directly into the next. The breath is used as a guide for this flow (traditionally one breath, one movement). Vinyasa is a more vigorous style of yoga although the pace and the intensity of the poses can vary.
Hatha: A slower, strengthening style of yoga practice where students hold shapes for slightly longer (3 to 8 breaths), and will be seated, standing on the belly or lying on their back.
Yin & Restorative Yoga: A therapeutic style of yoga, where gentle yoga postures are held for longer time (3-7 minutes), to bring the nervous system to rest, and allow the stretches to get to the deeper layers of muscle and fascia. Both styles emphasize the health of the soft tissues, yin yoga encouraging you to “meet your edge” and restorative yoga bringing more comfort.
Yoga Nidra: A lying down meditation that allows the body to go into a deep relaxation state where we rest, digest, and rejuvenate.
Instructor
Meet Farah! A 500HR-Registered Yoga Teacher & Holistic Nutritionist. Farah spent the last ten years working in the wellness, food security and non-profit sectors in Canada, Tanzania and Nicaragua. Farah uses an inclusive and compassionate approach; working with the body and recognizing individual constitutions to help bring balance to the body and mind. She works with the eight limbs of yoga, nutrition, and Ayurveda to encourage emotional, spiritual and physical wellbeing. Farah offers yoga and meditation classes, nutrition coaching, workshops, and corporate wellness plans.
Private Yoga Classes
Interested in getting one-on-one support with your wellness goals? We offer private yoga sessions, to allow the optimal setting for individualized support, sharing yogic knowledge, and allowing you to deepen your practice. You can attend both virtually and in person.
Yoga & Nutrition Package
Treat yourself to a personalized retreat during your stay, with private yoga classes twice a day, nutrition coaching and workshops.
